The initial process starts with getting your dreams and ideas on paper by exploring styles, materials, spaces, your family's needs and budget. This process fine tunes the project so it fits the parameters of your requirements. We want to have a direction, concept and vision of the size and style of your new home.
Throughout the Schematic Design Phase we focus on each space and its relationship one another. Time is spent implementing the desired home's style with the floor plans (form follows function). By the end of the Schematic Design Phase we'll have plans and drawings to satisfy the HOA review board, the bank and help you start the interview process with general contractors.
Once we're set on a schematic design, then we move into the nuts and bolts of it all. This is where we interview a structural engineer whom I work hand in hand with to achieve the final goal. At the end of the CD Phase you'll have a full set of drawings to obtain a permit.
